THE EXPERIENCE
FAQs and All The Questions!
We would choose Steve 100 times over. I found Steve after searching videographers in the Kansas City area. I started looking at Steve’s videos and fell in love with them. Not to mention, our bridal party loved Steve! - Andi + Michael's review from the knot
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?

"Timeless", "Storytelling", and "Fun"!
It may be a little bit cliché, but we believe every wedding film is supposed to be a mini-feature film that the bride and groom may watch their own "movie." We have seen too many beautiful videos that run with slow-motion clips all the time, but this is not Moontage Films does. It looks great in the beginning, but it somehow feels too slow and a little bit boring in the middle. That is why our goal is not only to create romantic clips but also the fun moments. Like the actual romantic movie elements that we put together - smiles, tears, hugs, kisses, flowers - eat, love, and drink on that day.

CAN WE CHOOSE OUR OWN MUSIC?

The answer is that You May or You May Not. We use licensed songs from the two websites which offer permission to use them LEGALLY. If the website includes the songs you love, we may use it. If not, we have to choose the others from the sites. Using licensed music ensures we do not violate copyright law and keep your wedding film online for years.

Here are the websites we use for licensed songs. Please note that some mainstream songs charge from $39 to $79 per song* (ex. Bruno Mars - Marry You). The fee is not included in our package. We recommend indie songs that are free to use under our membership.

And don't worry, we will not use old-school songs for your wedding film...

WHAT MADE YOU BECOME A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER?

It was pretty funny because, when I was in film school, I did not know anything about wedding videos! After I graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2012, I received some wedding companies looking for videographers & editors in San Francisco. During that time, I crazily learned about and filmed weddings every weekend in Bay Area and Napa Valley wine country. Doing almost 50 weddings per year brought me so much experience for my future style built-up. In 2015, I started my own business Moontage Films! #DreamComeTrue

SHOULD I HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER/ COORDINATOR?

Yes, I would highly recommend it! All my brides who hired a planner were stress-free during the day. A wedding planner (in my opinion) is like a film director, and we wedding videographers are like DP (Director of Photography) lol. A good wedding planner handles the schedule so well that all we need is filming!

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANNERS YOU LOVE TO WORK WITH?

Absolutely! Here are the planners we LOVE! (in alphabetical order):
